Games are made of runs and this one held up to the standards! West Linn survives to defeat a tough Tualatin team 60-54. West Linn needed all of senior Jackson Shelstad 29 points to win. A huge turning point in the game is when “playmaker” senior Adrian Mosley (12pts, 4asts, 3rebs, 3blks, 3stls) got into foul trouble and eventually fouled out. This was a huge team win for West Linn, who now has sole possession of first place in the TRL.
As for the reigning 6A State Champs, Tualatin is looking more and more dangerous as the season goes on. Senior Josiah Lake II (college coaches need give him a look) scored a tough 25 points to almost lead his team to a big upset. Junior Jaden Steppe is a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams in the state. He finished with 19 points and made some great plays for his teammates.
Round 2 at Tualatin should be for the league title but they will have to beat some tough teams in the Three Rivers League on the way.
