Yamhill- Carlton went on the road and defeated a tough Amity squad by 10. Head Coach Heather Seely Roberts and her squad was in control for majority of the game. State Player of The Year candidate Moroni Seely Roberts finished with 33 points and 23 rebounds, Malachai Seely Roberts finished with 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Trey Rich finished 11 points. This win was HUGE because now they have beaten Dayton and Amity, so if there is a tie breaker, they are in the conversation of who gets into the Elite 8. I DO NOT KNOW HOW PAC WEST HANDLES TIE BREAKERS.
A Rivalry Game to Determine It ALL
This Friday, the last day of regular season play, Amity travels to Dayton for a possible "win or go home" game. One of the best rivalries in all of 3A sports! If Amity wins, then they would make it a three way tie for first place. If they lose, then Amity would automatically become the third place team in the Pac West and will need voters support to get into the Elite 8. Unless my proposal of a "play in game" passes and two teams play on Saturday.
No Room For Error
Tonight, De La Salle will host Catlin Gabel for Senior Night. All State Senior Ubedei McGautha (Catlin Gabel transfer) will look to close out his last regular season game by help leading his team to victory. If De La Salle wins, then they will have a 13-1 resume going into committee meeting when voting takes place for the two at large bids. If they lose, then De La Salle would 12-2 including a loss to a unranked team. It a short season with "no room for error".
