Yamhill- Carlton defeated De La Salle 84-61. YC lead this game from start to finish. In the first tv timeout (3:27 in the first quarter), it was Moroni Seely-Roberts 12 to De La Salle 8. From there on, De La Salle was down double digits the entire game. Two things YC did well, not turning the ball over against DLS press and going inside out on offense. Moroni was a force on the inside and this lead to Malachi-Seely Roberts getting open three pointers and mid range jumpshots. In there Coos Bay debut, Moroni scored 33 points and 9 rebounds and Malachi had 16 points 13 rebounds and 11 assists.
YC moves on to face Cascade Christian in the Championship Game.
De La Salle will need to put this game behind them and focus on a tough Santiam Christian team in the third place game.
