We are finally here!! The road to Coos Bay starts today! This season has all the potential to be a memorable one. A lot of good teams across the state that are capable of accomplishing an upset on any given night! Questions that’s on a lot of people minds.. Who is really #1 team in the state? Which teams out their Yoda and myself are “sleeping on” that will make a run and get to Coos Bay? Who will be this year Michael Duncan? (Duncan nailed a buzzer beater to send Amity to the state title game) Sorry to bring it back up Dayton. Questions that are on people’s mind about league play.. Lewis and Clark It’s a 5 team race (OES, Catlin, Riverdale, Westside Christian and PAA) for one automatic bid to state with Horizon Christian on the outside looking in. For now! Its too close to call in my opinion and I believe it will go down to the last week of league play. PacWest Who will win the league title between Amity, Dayton and ...Salem Academy? Yes, Salem Academy has a legit shot to knock off either team and take home the trophy! Coastal Range One of the greatest rivals in 3A is Clatskanie vs Rainer! When these two teams meet, you can throw their records and rankings out the door. Anything can happen! The real question is, Who will play spoiler and achieve one of those two automatic state tourney bids? Warrenton, Willamina or Taft?? Mountain Valley As of now it’s a two team race for league title in Pleasant Hill and Santiam Christian. Both teams graduated All State players but both teams brought back All State talent in juniors Josh Baugher (SC) and Max Smith (Phil). Can Creswell crash the party and get an upset for an automatic bid?? Far West All State senior Mason Gill and Sutherland look to be the favorite on paper but you can never count out Cascade Christian! What about St. Mary’s and Douglas with new head coach Bid Van Loon? How close are they at getting an automatic bid? Brookings Harbor? Eastern Oregon The early favorites to come out of this league are Umatila and Nyssa. It’s too close to call who will win but I am expecting these two teams finish 1 and 2. Question for this league.. Burns, Irrigon, Riverside and or Vale.. Which team will pull off the upset and get an automatic bid? I believe anything can happen in this league. Do you? The top two players in the state in George Sadi (DLS) and Josh Baugher (SC) go head to head is a must see game! Anyone going that wants to give us an update? We welcome it!
