Thoughts on 3A / 4A Coos Bay State Tourney..
Thank you to everyone in Coos Bay/ North Bend that played a part in hosting the 3A/4A Final Four Tournament. HUGE SHOUTOUT to Greg Mulkey for his continued support and leading the charge to making this tournament happen this year.
I have to be honest, I love the idea of having both 3A/4A State Tournament in Coos Bay. It’s a great opportunity for both classifications to watch and support one another during the tourney. It’s also great for media because now we can cover both classifications as well. It also give teams and players more exposure across the state.
I only have one concern for 4A and that’s Marshfield hosting a state title game. Marshfield defeated Cascade fair and square for the title this year, but it didn’t sit well that Cascade had to play them on there home court. I think we all can agree that next time, have Marshfield play the title game at North Bend.
